The VooDoo Piano Duo

The VooDoo piano duo consists of two excellent young pianists, Vuk Božilović and Dušan Grozdanović. The duo started cooperation in late 2012, during their first year of study in the class of Professor Sonja Lončar.

So far, they have held more than 10 solo concerts in the country and abroad. The first one was held at the Art-get Gallery in 2014 and the following year they held a concert at the Student Cultural Center, organized by the Faculty of Music. In November of 2015, they performed a solo concert as part of the Keyboard Days Festival, where they appeared as the only local musicians. In late May of 2015 they participated at the FESTUM where they played the Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns accompanied by the Belgrade Youth Symphony Orchestra and conductor Radan Jovanović. They performed at a promenade concert, at Kolarac Hall, at a concert at the Department of Chamber Music, in 2017, playing Maurice Ravel’s La Valse, and Variations on a Theme by Paganini for Two Pianos by Witold Lutoslawski in 2018, as the best students in Sonja Loncar’s class.

In 2017, they participated at the San Donna di Piave competition in Italy, where they received a diploma and a trophy for winning third place. They held two solo concerts in the hall of the Kosta Manojlović Music School, which they also attended, as well as in the auditorium of the Petar Konjović Music School. They also performed at concerts at the KULT festival, at concerts at the Cvijeta Zuzorić Pavilion and at the Vuk Karadžić CLU. And, they were participants at the Bolshoi Festival of Russian Classical Music.

They won first prize at the Competition of Young Pianists in Niš in 2018.

In October of 2018 they held 16 very successful concerts with the Belgrade Philharmonic at the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall with conductor Felix Mildenberger.

In March of 2019, they held a solo concert at the Student Cultural Center, also opened the new concert season of the Guarnerius Center for Fine Arts with a solo concert, and at the end of the year they performed two solo concerts in Chengdu, China.

In 2021, they held two very successful solo concerts at Kolarac Hall, one as part of a new cycle and the last as part of the traditional Kolarac series of promenade concerts.

They won the Olivera Đurđević Award for the most successful chamber ensemble, which was awarded by the Faculty of Music Arts for the first time in 2018.

They attended the master class of the famous Bizjak duo consisting of our famous pianists Lidija and Sanja Bizjak as well as the LP Duo.

Also, they collaborate with many contemporary domestic composers and are the beneficiaries of funding by the SOKOJ (Organization of Serbian Music Authors), for recording a CD with music by local composers.
