Stanko Madić was born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1984. His violin studies began at the age of 6 with prof. Robert Toškov, and continued with prof. Dejan Mihailović. At the age of only 14 he became a student at the Belgrade Music Academy in the class of prof. Mihailović as a first ranking student on the admission list.

At the age of 17 he graduated as the best student of his generation and a recipient of various state prizes and recognitions. He was awarded a Stipend of the Royal Family Karadjordjević.
He completed his Master studies at the Novi Sad State Academy of Arts at the age of 19 in the class of prof. Mihailović.

He continued his studies 2010-2012 in the class of Prof. Igor Malinovsky at the Hochschule für Musik Karl Maria von Weber where he obtained his second Masters degree with specialisation in Soloist and Concertmaster music literature.

From 2002-2008 he was employed at the Novi Sad State Academy of Arts as assistant of prof. Megumi Teshima while he perfected at various master-classes with world-renowned violinists (Viktor Tretiakov, Midori Goto, Kai Vogler).

From 2008-2011 he was a permanent member of the world famous Staatskapelle Dresden, orchestra of the Semper Oper.
From 2011-2018 he was the first Concertmaster of the Nuremberg State Philharmonic Orchestra (Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg).
In 2018 Stanko Madić is the new 1st Concertmaster of the Munich Radio Orchestra of the Bayerische Rundfunk.

He is also first Concertmaster of the regional (ex-Yugoslavian) No Borders Orchestra, in this role he recorded CD for Deutsche Grammophone and toured worldwide. He has also guested as first Concertmaster in various Orchestras in Germany and worldwide (Bayerische Staatsoper, Staatskapelle Dresden, Orchestre du Chambre du Luxembourg, Bayerische Kammerphilharmonie, Armenian State Orchestra, Hamburger Symphoniker, Bamberger Symphoniker, Wiener Symphoniker..).

As a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician he played with some of the most prominent artists in the world, such as Martha Argerych, Albrecht Meyer, Camilla Nyllund, Zubin Mehta, sir Colin Davis, Maurizio Polini, Mischa Maiski, Julian Rachlin, Anya Harteros, Emanuel Axe, Rudolf Buchbinder, Lera Auerbach, Sergio Azzolini, Plácido Domingo, Daniel Geiß, Julia Okruashvili, Emmanuel Pahud…

As a soloist Madić performed with all Belgrade’s orchestras as well as with Slovak Chamber Orchestra, St. Malo Symphony, National Orchestre de Lorraine, Bremer Philharmoniker, Staatskapelle Dresden Solisten, Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra, Kwa-Zulu Natal Symphony, No Borders Orchestra, Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg, Wiener Symphoniker, Münchner Rundfunkorchester v.d. Bayerischer Rundfunk to name but a few. He recorded for Art Link, RTS, BR Klassik, Deutsche Grammophone.

In the year 2020 he recorded CD for BR Klassik performing Distant Light violin concerto by Peteris Vasks which is being praised by critics as one of the best recordings of the aforementioned concerto.

He has won first, special and Laureat awards at many international competitions, a few of which include: Cirenie Talentow (Slovakia), Jaroslaw Kocian (Czech), Rodolfo Lipizer (Italy), Petar Konjovic (ex Yugoslavia), Jeunesses Musicales, Violine in Dresden (Germany), Valsessia Musica (Italy)… He was awarded Art Link’s The Most Promising Young Artist Award in 2006. and with support from Audi recorded his first CD in the same year.

Stanko Madić plays on a Carlo Carletti violin from 1908, with support of Commerzbank Nürnberg, as well as a modern violin built exclusively for him by Savva Girshenko, upcoming violin maker from Munich who’s violins are played on by prominent concertmasters and soloists in Germany and worldwide.
