Benjamin Glaubitz
Benjamin Glaubitz received his first musical education in the famous boys choir Dresdner Kreuzchor. He studied at Dresden University of Music with Margret Trappe-Wiel and Olaf Bär and completed master classes with Peter Schreier and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. Among others, he performed with renowned ensembles such as the Hamburg Philharmonics, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Staatskapelle Dresden, Dresden Philharmonics, Dresden Baroque Orchestra, Lautten Compagney Berlin, Staatskapelle Halle, Bach Collegium Stuttgart, Collegium1704 Prague, Symphony Prague, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Ensemble Resonanz, Dresdner Kreuzchor and worked with conductors such as Karl-Friedrich Beringer, Hansjörg Albrecht (both Munich Philharmony), Alessandro De Marchi (Hamburg State Opera), Ludwig Güttler, Ekkehard Klemm (Dresden State Opera), Joachim Krause (Tonhalle Zurich), Václav Luks, Tomáš Netopil (Dresden State Opera), Markus Poschner (Dresden Philharmonic), HansChristoph Rademann, Helmuth Rilling and Jörg-Peter Weigle. Concerts as a soloist or with Ensembles like Collegium Vocale Gent led him to numerous European, Asian and South American music centres. Following projects include concerts as Evangelist in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion and St. Marcus Passion in Estonia and Moscow/ Russia, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio in Kopenhagen/ Denmark, Cantatas in Montreal/ Canada, Mozart’s c-minor mass at Konzerthaus Dortmund, such as a Lied recital in Den Haag/ Netherlands.
