Akiho Tsujii
The young Japanese soprano Akiho Tsujii received her first musical training in her home country. At the Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, she completed her studies as a singer.
In the 2014/2015 season, she became a permanent ensemble member of Theater&Philharmonie Thüringen, where she developed her professional repertoire.
The roles that she took to the stage include Ännchen (Der Freischütz), Norina (Don Pasquale), Gilda (Rigoletto), Karolka (Jenufa), First Niece (Peter Grimes), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) and Musetta (La bohème). She performs at the Oper Leipzig, the Theater Erfurt, the Theater Dortmund, the Semperoper Dresden and the Staatsoperette Dresden.
Starting in the 2017/2018 season, Akiho Tsujii will be an ensemble member of the Mainfranken Theater in Würzburg. She also has an extensive repertoire as a concert singer. Akiho Tsujii has also won several prizes at singing competitions.
