Vera Ilić

Orchestra member since 1 April 1994

I take special pride in working in the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, which is the fulfilment of my wishes and professional aspirations. I have tried to gain a broad musical education, so, in secondary school, I completed four departments: the violin, piano, solo singing and theoretical departments, while at university, in addition to the violin, I studied in the music pedagogy department. My work in the orchestra is nicely complemented by teaching in two schools of music. I take great pleasure in raising new generations of musicians. In addition, I take every opportunity for new solo performances or playing in chamber ensembles.

I am a dynamic person who enjoys sports and travelling. I particularly love the summer and the seaside, listening to rock music and animals – especially cats, of which there are always a few in my house.
