Jovan Savić, principal
Trumpeter Jovan Savić received his primary and secondary music education at the Josip Slavenski Music School (2002) in Belgrade, in the class of Prof. Momir Petričević. He then graduated from the Faculty of Music in the class of Prof. Mladen Djordjević. He specialized in master classes with eminent soloists and pedagogues such as Eric Aubier, Friedrich Reinhold, Urlich Riehl, Marc Schrello, Luis Gonzales Marti, Jan Fr. Christiansen.
As a soloist and chamber musician, he performs with the Belgrade Philharmonic, the Binički ensemble, the orchestra of the Opera of the National Theater, the Royal Strings of St. Djordje, the Belgrade Baroque Orchestra, the Zabuna Ensemble, and others. As an orchestra musician, he collaborates with all major ensembles in the country. Together with colleagues from the Belgrade Philharmonic, he founded the “BRASS SENSE” brass quintet in 2008.
From 2008 to 2011, he was a permanent member of the RTS Symphony Orchestra and in 2011 he became a permanent member of the Belgrade Philharmonic.
