Biography:

Violist Boris Brezovac, born in Novi Sad, began his studies in Zagreb with Stefan Pasadj before completing them in Belgrade under Dejan Mladenovic. He continued refining his skills at the Mannheim University of Music with Hideko Kobayashi, as well as in Hannover Hochschule für Musik und Theater with prof. Christian Pohl.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Boris has performed extensively across Europe, with ensembles such as the Camerata Academica from Novi Sad, the Hannover and Belotti quartets, the Balkan Chamber Academy, the London Chamber Group, the THC String Quintet, the Salzburg Camerata, and the Haimos Music Society from Novi Sad. He was also a member of the Symphony Orchestra of the Serbian national broadcaster Radio Television Serbia as well as the NDR Orchestra in Hannover. Boris is a member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra since 2005, as the principal violist.

In addition to his orchestral engagements, he has also been dedicated to chamber music, collaborating with the String Quartet of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra in concerts across Europe and Asia. Boris has furthered his professional training with renowned musicians such as Wolfgang Redik, William Coleman, and Eberhard Feltz.

Since 2018, Boris has been an integral part of the chamber orchestra Double Sens, led by Nemanja Radulovic, with whom he has performed in prestigious venues throughout Europe, including famous concert halls in Paris and France.

As a co-founder of the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra (BCO) in 2021, Boris showcased his artistry at the Brixen festival in Italy, alongside Artur Hornig, Danijel Gajic, and Albrecht Mayer.

Boris is a professor of chamber music at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, a position he has been holding since 2022.
