2023 is the centennial year for the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and its hundredth anniversary will be celebrated throughout the season. In the first hundred years, the orchestra has experienced many ups and downs in its turbulent history: from its humble beginnings, when a group of music enthusiasts held the first philharmonic concert, to becoming the most successful cultural institution in the country and the region, with a grandiose world-class ensemble. We are entering another hundred years era feeling hopeful of a better future, one step closer to moving into our new home, the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, whose construction is intensively under way in New Belgrade’s Block 13. Join us in this historical moment of our venturing into the second century with concerts, with programs that will definitely bring something new, something old, something happy, something sad, something festive, something nostalgic. We will host some of our old, good friends, but we will also welcome completely new ones. We will honour our past, live in the present, but also look to the future, and, as usual, leave it all on the field. Because Belgrade Philharmonic is forever.
