The Gala Concert marking the 60th anniversary of Zubin Mehta’s debut appearance with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra will be postponed until the Maestro has recovered from a shoulder surgery he underwent in the end of last year.
The plan was to perform the same repertoire as it had been in 1958 – Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, Franck’s Symphonic Variations featuring Aleksandar Madžar as the soloist, and Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique.
The new date for the concert, which was initially scheduled on 18 March 2018, will be announced subsequently.
