The Belgrade Philharmonic cheered on participants in today’s 37th Belgrade marathon, in the place where runners encounter the most difficulties – the Ada Bridge. With the music of Mozart, musicians and runners exchanged applause and cheered each other on at the music station Expo 2027 Belgrade: Play for Humanity.
The Philharmonic’s participation in the Belgrade marathon has become one of its favorite traditions. The Ada Bridge, as one of the most difficult parts of the race, was full of positive energy. Marathon and half marathon runners greeted the Philharmonic with creative applause, conducting moves and bows. Among the marathon runners were many members of the Philharmonic’s audience, who told the musicians they’ll see them on Friday, at the orchestra’s next concert at Kolarac Hall.
For some runners, the fast movements of Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik helped their finish time, while many took a few moments at the Philharmonic’s music station to rest and take selfies with the musicians.
The Ada Bridge is not only a difficult section of the marathon course for runners, but it is also challenging for musicians because of constant wind. The 37th Belgrade Marathon showed everything the musicians of the Philharmonic and marathon runners have in common – endurance, commitment and passion. That’s why the atmosphere at the Ada Bridge was unforgettable, full of mutual admiration and thankfulness.
