One of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra’s most popular and sought-after children’s programs, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons is back for preschoolers from October 15–18 at the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall (with two daily performances at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.). Actor Vladimir Aleksić serves as the narrator entertaining the young audience with a playful and humorous introduction to the music, alongside violinists from the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, who perform as soloists.
This concert, designed for children aged 3 to 7, features Vivaldi’s famous concert cycle, where each season performed by the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra is represented by a different violin soloist. Jelena Dimitrijević takes on the lead role for spring, Miljana Popović Materni for summer, Selena Jakovljević brings autumn, and Vojin Aleksić leads winter. Along with experiencing this classical masterpiece and learning to distinguish between musical instruments, children are taken on a fun journey by Vladimir Aleksić through a playful story about Uncle Antonio, Vivaldi’s life and the piece itself, and the era in which it was written. In addition to the instruments, the stage is creatively set with bouquets of flowers, swimming rings and goggles, raincoats, and sleds to represent each season, adding to the excitement.
