All profits from tonight concert the BPO will pledge to aid the victims of the earthquake
The tickets sold for the Friday night concert of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra at Kolarac will be donated to the Red Cross as an aid to the people of Turkey and Syria affected by the devastating earthquake.
Even though this concert is not dedicated to the music of a city in Turkey or Syria, our thoughts go right there. We are sending the proceeds from tonight’s performance to help these countries in this difficult time. The audience of the BPO will also be able to make their donations to the quake relief, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra announced.
The orchestra performs under the direction of conductor Gerrit Priessnitz and with the special quest – Finnish violinist Elina Vähälä. The Philharmonic season On the Right Track, dedicated to different cities around the world, arrives in Helsinki on Friday, with the program that includes best-known works by Finnish authors.
