In his efforts to return to the classical music scene, the established master of Hollywood film music, Austrian composer Erich Wolfgang Korngold, has enriched violin literature with one of the most popular concert works dedicated to this instrument, his Concerto for Violin and Orchestra. It was dedicated to Alma Mahler, the widow of his great role model and mentor from his younger days, Gustav Mahler, whose masterful First Symphony will fill the central part of this concert program. The orchestra will be led for the first time by Stanislav Kochanovsky, currently one of the most sought-after Russian conductors in Europe.
