Aleksandar Radulović, percussion
Orchestra member since 1 January 2010
I take special pride in the energy that my colleagues and I selflessly transmit to the audience of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra every Friday. I am also proud of the fact that the orchestra has significantly changed the way art is understood in Serbia.
I am the one who plays on 800 litres of water, wheel rims, lead plates, extraordinary instruments; I imitate birdsong, fossils, extreme weather. I am the one who whistles, bangs, jumps. I don’t feel uncomfortable about eating fire or juggling, either. I use rhythm to portray anything from the atmosphere in a Spanish tavern to a concert hall in Vienna.
