Once again, Chief Conductor Gabriel Feltz will be leading the Belgrade Philharmonic for two nights in a row, at Kolarac Hall, on Thursday and Friday (October 24th and 25th), at 8:00 pm. The program includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (Eroica) and Metamorphoses by Richard Strauss.

Beethoven has had a major influence on generations of notable composers, who have incorporated his ideas into their individual musical styles. The connection between Richard Strauss and Beethoven is obvious and striking. The echo of Beethoven’s famous Eroica, which has left an indelible mark on the history of music, can be heard in Strauss’s Metamorphoses. He wrote this work shaken by the bombing of German cities in World War II, especially the destruction of theaters that completely destroyed cultural life.

Due to the widespread public interest in our concert seasons, this year the Belgrade Philharmonic has continued to organize additional dates for selected concerts on Thursdays, a day before our regular concerts, at Kolarac Hall. Entitled #beethoventhemotherofall, the cycle of additional concerts consists of five of the most attractive programs in the Belgrade Philharmonic’s season entirely dedicated to this composer.

Tickets for the Thursday concerts can be purchased at the Belgrade Philharmonic’s Ticket Office as well as online through the new ticketing service: https://bilet.bgf.rs/

For the Friday concerts, as is our tradition, 100 standing tickets will be on sale at the Kolarac Box Office one hour before the concert.
