Lenneke Ruiten

The highly demanded Dutch sopra­no Lenneke Ruiten has developed an outstanding international career in concert and opera. Important engagements have led her to De Nationale Opera in Am­sterdam, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Oper Stuttgart, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Tonhalle Zürich. She has worked with important conductors and orchestras including Christoph Eschenbach, John Eliot Gardiner, Marc Minkowski, Christian Thielemann, Iván Fischer and Martin Haselböck, as well as with orchestras such as the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Staatskapelle Dresden and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Lenneke Ruiten has a special passion for Lieder, having given recitals in venues including the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall in London and the Kaisersaal in Frankfurt. Her discography includes recordings of Mozart, Bruckner, Bach, Brahms and Orff. Lenneke Ruiten studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and the Bavarian Theatre Academy in Munich. She also won several prizes at the International Vocal Competition in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
