In a special fashion runway show, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra revealed its new concert attire, designed by Fashion studio Zabunović and produced by the Luss Textile factory. Prior to the concert of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra on Friday, October 4, the musicians put on a fashion show for the audience, who greeted the ensemble’s new look with passionate applause.

In the new concert season, titled To the Last Bar, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra will perform in new concert attire, featuring a variety of outfits tailored for the orchestra’s diverse performances. This concert wardrobe is a donation to the Belgrade Philharmonic by Fashion studio Zabunović and Luss Textile, initiated by Suzana Vasiljević, a member of the Managing Board of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.

Believing that fashion and music share a common essence of emotional expression and creativity, designer Aleksandar Zabunović sought to merge these two worlds, creating costumes that would enhance the audience’s experience and make each Philharmonic performance even more special.

When I was approached by the Belgrade Philharmonic with a request to design new costumes for their orchestra, I felt immense joy but also great responsibility. Music has always been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me, and the opportunity to contribute to the visual identity of such a prestigious institution is a great honor. During the creative process, I spent a lot of time with the orchestra members, listening to their stories, understanding their needs and desires. I wanted the costumes to be more than just clothing — to become an extension of their art, reflecting the passion and energy they bring to each performance. I created the first version of the costumes, which we refined together to achieve the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. I believe these new costumes will enhance the audience’s experience and further highlight the orchestra’s elegance and professionalism, said the designer Aleksandar Zabunović.

Luss Textile, a family-run domestic textile company known for producing high-end garments, tailored 824 pieces of clothing for the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.

We are extremely honored to have been recognized by the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra as a company capable of meeting this challenge. Although we have years of experience, many satisfied clients, and numerous successfully completed projects, this one was truly a special challenge for us. We worked with the highest-quality materials available on the European market. The additional challenge was finding a middle ground between artistic creation, the desires and needs of the orchestra members, and the practical demands of producing these exceptional pieces of clothing. Each piece was carefully sewn with attention to detail and dedication, respecting the wishes of both art forms that merged in this project—music and fashion. We sincerely hope that the new visual identity of the orchestra will be recognized by the audience in the same way it was embraced by the esteemed members of the orchestra—with enthusiasm, said Sava Mitrović, CEO of Luss Textile.
