Vojin Aleksić
Vojin Aleksić was born in 1999 in Kruševac, where he began playing the violin at the age of six.
He graduated from the School of Music Talents in Ćuprija as the top of the class student, under the guidance of Prof. Milica Mladenović. He continued his undergraduate and master’s degree studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, in the class of Prof. Gordana Matijević-Nedeljković.
As an associate member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra since 2021, he has collaborated with distinguished conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Neeme Järvi, Gabriel Feltz, Stanislav Kochanovsky, Howard Griffiths, Uroš Lajovic, and Cristian Mandeal. He has performed with many soloists including Kian Soltani, Fazil Say, Sergei Krylov, Denis Kozhukhin, Nemanja Radulović, Sergey Khachatryan, Julian Steckel, Ana Tifu, Caroline Widmann, and many others.
Since 2016, he has been a member of the Metamorphosis ensemble, serving as a concertmaster as of 2020. With Metamorphosis, he performed at the Pantopia festival in Berlin, at the State Opera in Karlsruhe, with musicians from the world music scene such as Kayhan Kalhor and Merve Salgar. With the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra, he performed at the Brixen Classics festival in Italy and participated in the Wintermärchen project at the Elbphilharmonie. As a student, he participated in projects and performed at music festivals including BEMUS, Kustendorf Klasik, Euphony (Austria), Euregio festival (Germany), with European Union Youth Orchestra, and El Sistema (Italy), where he shared the stage with artists such as Daniel Hope, Camilla Nylund, Juliane Banse, Roman Simović, Bryn Terfel, Yuri Bashmet, and Aleksandar Madžar.
He is the founder and member of the Monk ensemble, with which he performed at the Kaleidoscope of Culture in Novi Sad, the MetaWorld and Kondenz festivals in Belgrade, as well as the Arlemm and Bliss festivals.
He has attended masterclasses of the Amernet Quartet, as well as Marc Bouchkov, Stanko Madić, Emilio Percan, and many others.
