Starting from December 5th to 8th, the Beograd Philharmonic Orchestra will be hosting concerts for babies. The concerts begin at 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM in the Philharmonic Hall (11 Students Square).
The orchestra led by the young conductor Vuk Wolkov-Popovic will perform beautiful waltzes for its youngest audience aged 0-2.
In this celebratory season marking a century of the orchestra’s existence, the Beograd Philharmonic has prepared an entirely new repertoire for their beloved audience. In the Philharmonic Hall transformed into a familiar musical playground, babies and their parents will be able to enjoy a fusion of the loveliest waltzes performed by the Belgrade Philharmonic orchestra.
For six consecutive seasons, these baby concerts have been the most popular program by the Beograd Philharmonic Orchestra, garnering immense interest and often selling out within a few hours. The December concerts were completely sold out in less than three hours, prompting the Philharmonic to announce new sessions for babies and their parents and grandparents, in a new cycle as of January 9th to 12th, 2024.
Apart from introducing children to the world of classical music from their earliest days, these Philharmonic concerts are also very educational, and conducted at a highly professional level. They provide next generation conductors with opportunities to gain experience working with the orchestra. Not only that they are audience’s favorites, these Baby Concerts have also been awarded multiple times within the marketing industry, earning the highest recognition for the Beograd Philharmonic’s community contribution.
